Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee a team of 15-20 housekeepers. The role involves managing general housekeeping duties, including floor scrubbing, restroom maintenance, office cleaning, and trash disposal. The supervisor will be responsible for one or more buildings on-site, depending on size, and must effectively manage the team, ensuring accountability and addressing union-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 15-20 housekeepers.
• Manage general housekeeping tasks, including floor scrubbing, restroom maintenance, office cleaning, and trash disposal.
• Supervise one or more buildings on-site, depending on their size.
• Ensure team accountability and address issues with the union.
• Coach and train team members according to union standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of janitorial or housekeeping supervision within a manufacturing environment of UAW personnel.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, teams, and data entry.
• Strong leadership and management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to create spreadsheets.
• Experience with union environments in hospitals or other settings for janitors or housekeepers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
